Hi all.
While tramming and general maintance my mill, i noticed some holes inside the bed and near the column. I attached the pictures. There are 4 holes inside the bed at backside, and 2 holes in left and right near the column.
I could not guess any idea. Can they be holed intentionally or by mistake during the manufacturing process ?

Probably hold the column to the base - bolts in from other end.

I noticed this drawing from its manual.
There are total 8 holes.I think they are for fixing column to rightside or to leftside according to preference.
But, what can it help to fix column a bit right or a bit left ??

This Base is used for more than one machine model, that they could fit a wider bigger column too, different companies use the same castings for a lot of these machines
