    Epoxy tooling board

    Hi,

Does anyone have any tips on machining epoxy tooling board? Feeds and speeds, step-over and cusp height, tooling and such.... I'm trying to get a fine surface finish to make a composite mould from.

Climb mill it, Watch the corners for breakout. Spiral in towards the center. I'm not familiar with the brand you are using, but I've cut a lot of Ren 450 and Redboard for foundry patterns. The redboard is extremely hard and chippy. Ren 450 is very forgiving, similar to the old Butterboard material.
If at first you don't succede destroy all evidence that you tried!
