Post processor for Mazak Integrex!
Does anyone know whether edgecam has started sharing more info for proven post for specific machines. I know each machine is going to be a little bit different but it seems like if one reseller produces a post for a Mazak mill for a specific model, they should be able to get that in a shared database where other resellers have advantage of using that as a template.
We are so afraid of spending money on a post for our Mazak Integrex IV 300 ST which has a main and sub lathe spindle, upper milling head, which rotates to both lathe spindles, and a lower turret. The machine cost too much money to have a post that we can not trust to be at least 95% correct from the start. I know there will most likely be some tweaking, but it would be reassuring to know that it has been running and working on another machine already. We had a very bad experience where our reseller admitted later that a post he created for a Eurotech swiss style machine was over his head. We spent all kinds of time and crashes, thankfully minor, trying to tweek that post, which never ended up being good enough to fully trust. We ended up getting rid of what may have been a very capable machine, because it took us too much time programming and testing a program at the machine.
Anyone know if Edgecam has started to open up a little with sharing posts?
