Are you talking about how to read and diagnose issues by monitoring the PLC code? What controller are you using?
Although there are basic symbols, there are quite a differences between manuf. The PLC manuals for many Industrial machines are not readily attainable unless OEM or retrofitter.
The Mitsubishi book by John Ridley is good to get a feel of how programs are written, although aimed at the Mitsubishi PLC, they overlap into the Mitsubishi PMC commands and programming.

Try plcs.net or plc.net for a good book on general plc ladder logic, or Automationdirect.
Thanks greggv, definately looks like the right site to go for info.

You can also download a trial version of Seimens Logo software. Allows you to write in either there drop and drag symbols library or ladder, and convert between the two. Also allows simulation to play with. Not quite Fanuc, but it will give you a good idea.
Thank you, I am checking into the Logo software now.
