I have a Dynapath Delta 10 lathe and I am setting up a barfeed. The Collet open and close switches work as they should opening and closing the collet. When running a program, the collet open command opens on a M11 command. However nothing after the M11 command works, especially the M10 collet close command. I know the open collet prevents the machine from being started, so is there another command that I need to enter before the M11 command? Also, I've tried all other possible collet close commands, but nothing works after the M11 open command anyways.

You probably need to adjust a prox switch on the chuck actuator, its probably waiting for a finish signal from M11

Thanks for the response underthetire. There is only 1 wire to operate the solenoid for the close collet. So the same wire operates the close collet from the switch or the m10 command. It operates fine from the console switch.

Do an MDI command and see if the cycle start stays lit. If it does, its waiting for a finish signal from somewhere.

I did and the light goes out after the M11 collet open command. Its as if it needs another command before M11?

Are you still in feed per rev mode? If so you will need to be in feed per minute since the spindle is not rotating.

ok I added a G94 to change to fpm. Still the same thing the light goes out after the M11 collet open. BTW , thanks for all your help.
