    negative of a solid in solid works

    OK I am a newbie so bear with me I have a solid file I want to turn into a negative to use as a fixture to to hold the part when I go to machine the second side is this possible

    You have to run the "cavity" routine. Its in the mold tools area. See the help menu, there are a couple of steps to go through.
