    Pitch / speed / accuracy ? ballscrew

Does the pitch on ballscrews effect the accuracy or just speed ?

Im tring to chose ballscrew for a 1000mm x 800mm cnc router table. Speeds not to important.

    HELP !:rainfro:

Not accuracy, but resolution. But that's probably what you meant. The coarser the pitch, the less resolution you'll have. But unless you're direct driving a screw with over 25mm pitch, you should have enough resolution, depending on your requirements of course.

Don't discount the importance of speed, btw.

Thanks. So would somthing like this ballscrew be good for a 1000mm x 800mm router table ?

    Lead; Right Hand
    Diameter; 16mm x 5mm lead
    Spindle overall length; approx 800mm (31 1/2")
    Spindle ball track length; 800mm (31 1/2")
    Max stroke length; n/a
    Weight; 1.6kg (1.7Lb)
    Packed Weight; 2kg(4.4Lb) (plastic tube

I want to use the same ball screw for x,y, and z, to make ordering parts easy, is that ok ?

theres no reason not to use the same screw for all 3 if it will work in your application.. but it sounds like you will have more screw that you need on a couple axis,, this is fine, just a little wastefull... you might save a little $$ if you go with a little shorter screw on the shorter axis.. if that matters to you.. but i do like the idea of using all the same screws, and maby you can get a discount for ordering more than 1 of the same thing... tho normally the qty discounts dont kick in till something like 5 or more in my experience...
