    retrofitting a km3

I have a hurko km3 that was working erratically so I am attempting to retrofit it with a camsoft control. I started with the x axis and now when I power up, the x axis moves in the + direction at about 15 ipm. I cannot speed up, slow down, reverse, or stop. the only thing that stop it is the e-stop. I suspect I have a 5v signal telling the drive to move, but am not entirely sure how the analog signal is processed. ( as in where voltage should and should not be).
Any suggestions would b e more than welcome!
    Thanks!

    Re: retrofitting a km3

    Hello,

If your servo drives are analog, they receive a analog signal (normally between -10 to +10v) that will say to the drive at what speed it should move. The best way to check for this will be:

    1) Make sure that your drives are analog
    2) Check the voltage that the control is sending to the drive (a voltmeter would do).
