My copy of fusion has been getting some use lately, and I though I'd show what I've done so far.
I am long in the process of building a cnc lathe, and still have a few parts to make left.
Fusion has been nice figuring out the setups and simulation, to make sure what I want to make is what comes off the machine.
First is a hub adapter to make to mate a modified timing pulley to the spindle shaft.
The timing pulley hub was slightly larger than the spindle shaft, so it would be too thin to mount after boring out.
I bored it out much larger and tapped threads into 6 holes. The spacer will fit between the pulley and spindle.
Here is the timing pulley machining simulation. The last profile was done after the inner hub remnants were removed, so no gouging like shown in the sim.
I'll upload some pics of the actual part later.
Overall I am happy with fusion 360. I still have a lot to learn about how to make some toolpaths work the way I want them to, but overall it is very easy to get what I want.
I will upload some more pics and video as I have them available.
