    Applied Motion Products

I have a box full of these Steppers and I'm wondering if anyone has used them for anything besides ATM

    PN 49-006172
    Drawing 5023-115
    3 Volt
    2 Amp
    200 Per/Rev

Google is not my Friend on this one

I'm looking for specs on it as in what Frequency should it be able to handle running it in a 1/1 mode, it goes into Resonance just after 700 HZ by the time you get to 900 HZ it looses steps badly, does this sound normal ??
I know it is for some steppers.

If someone can tell me how many milihenrys I can calculate the torque curve myself

    Lonewolf55,

Holding Torque is only 83.3 ounces, how many volts is your power supply?

    What type of stepper driver?

What are you trying to move?

Those old round motors might work better as a boat anchor below 60 volts.

    Lonewolf55,

You may be interested in this simple method of measuring torque, the information starts three quarters down the page:

Thanx I know the holding torque is 83.3 oz inches, that info is on the Rating Plate, what I really need was the mH value of the windings, I think I have managed to determine that it is 5.0 mH/phase
this gives max speed of 0.750 Rev/Sec and minimum Step Time of 6.67 ms

BTW I love the Antenna Link that is interesting to me, these old Boat Anchors would work fine for that

like I said I have a box full of these all New Old Stock Left over from when I used to Service ATM's
What I'm doing with a couple of them right now is to control a Large GEM (telescope mount) I'm just messing with a ProtoType right now to Prove concept of design. Nema 34 steppers will be required for the actual Project.

thanx for your help this is a most useful Post for me due to the link

I Wish, them damn Bankers take the money out before they let the Service Tech work on em (chair) either that or 1 or more Bankers need to be at the machine during maintenance ... well that was back in late 70's I don't know their rules now.

Or on the other hand I buried it in the back yard
