    Best upgrade to 2 axis CNC for bridgeport mill?

    Hi guys,

    I just picked up a bridgeport 9x42" knee mill. I would like to upgrade it to a Prototrak 2 axis setup but I don't want to spend 10-12 grand. Are there some alternatives?

    There are several retrofits of mill threads on the 'Zone.

    A very popular method involves the use of Mach 2 or 3.

    There may be a servo retrofit that has been done but steppers appear to be more popular/convenient/realistic.
