It seems that you may be saving the file BACK to an earlier version
    - are you doing a "Save As" ??
    - or selecting a file to overwrite that is an earlier version

Mastercam can only save geometry going backwards, as the operations / options / fields etc. may not have been available in an earlier version in some items....or paths were calculated differently
so as a general rule...you can't take a toolpath operation backwards

Think I figured it out.. "Save as" then drop down arrow "file type" Change to "all files" instead of MX9 type file

My biggest learning curve is saving/changing/moving/ converting/FINDING files "AWW CRAP where did I save that file to????
