Nowforever D100 VFD , how to control it using LinuxCNC ?

    I've recently purchased an X4-800 from Carving-CNC
It comes with a Nowforever D100 VFD. I can't find a manual of this specific VFD type, only of the E100 : http://blog.opilab.ch/cnc/NOWFOREVER...AL%20E-100.pdf

Right now I can't control anything from LinuxCNC apart from spindle on/off (relais on pin 1 of LPT)
The breakout board does NOT have a PWM option, but pin 14 and 17 appear to be unused right now.
I'd like to control the VFD using RS485 or Modbus but can't find much info on that in combination with this particular VFD.
Has anybody succeeded yet in this?

    My goal would be :
    - Spindle on/off
    - full RPM control (Gcode S10000 should give 10000rpm)
    - CW/CCW would be nice but only CW is fine

    Thanks for any leads

    Hi Javanree,

I managed to get this to work on my D100. The E100 have different Px registers.
But the following settings let me Run the VFD by setting X1 LOW and applying a 0-10V on AIN1.
I have not tested but would assume that CW/CCW would work by setting X2 LOW (for CCW).

P0-000 set to 1. Analog control
    P0-001 set to 3. Max(Main frequency source x,Assisiant frequency source y.
P0-003 set to 2. Setting frequency is controlled by the input analog terminal AIN1.

The settings from Linux CNC are quite straight forward and depends on your controller board.
    Good luck!
