Hello guys,I built my DIY CNC hot wire cutter and decided to post a new topic to show you what I made.

The motors and the driver board are bought from eBay,the dealer is longsmotor.
It is not something special but I am a beginner and I think it is pretty good for beginning.

I used a wood construction because I don't have intention to use it for a commercial purpose.

I use 0.300 mm kanthal with ressistance 19.1 ohms/m and the current I use to heat the wire is 1.3 amps.

You can freely express your opinion and tell me what you like or dislike and if you don't understand something just ask.

I use Mach3 for running the machine and ProfiliPro and AutoCad to draw airfoils and other possible shapes.

I like it very much. I am going to make something like what you have made. Also wood or maybe some aluminium, if I can find it for free/cheap :-)

Are you going to make foam wings? Or what is the main purpose for you? Mine is foam wings for gliders or dlg's.

I cut some wings so far and tried to make my own free shapes but I would cut all that is possible to be cut with the machine.
