Hello , I am interesting to update/upgrade my haas 4th axis to 5th axis. My haas is year 2008 with pc card/board for 4 axis include in. Is it possible to upgrade to 5th axis. How much is it cost, is worth it ? what do I need pc card some software update does anybody have some experience with that. Contact your local dealer for an accurate quote for all parts needed.

Basically you will need a drive card for the 5th axis, some wiring harnessess for the drive card, the 5th axis unlock code, and a 5 axis compatible rotary setup.

Ok from haas website , if you buy new machine haas vf plus additional 5th axis drive card cost approx 5000 eurs. Is it same for upgrade old machine. How much cost the unlock code ? I like to know some things before i write to haas provider.

Some one I trust said $6k

Some one you trust sow $6k for unlock code and $6k for pc board ..... pretty much. sow stupid to pay for code. I understand for pc board 6k and around 15k for used rotary table.

No 6K for the option complete minus the device., but the device could be 25K
