    Part drawing blank in Mach

A friend of mine made a part drawing for me in Autocad for a motorcycle gas tank base.
He sent me the file in a dwg format. I opened it up in illustrator and saved it as an ai file then opened it in Inkscape
so that I could fill the inside area black. I then saved it as an .svg file and opened it in sheetcam and created a .tap file.
When I import it to Mach, it comes up blank.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I'm new to this and any help would be appreciated.
I've attached the part drawing that I brought into sheetcam if that helps.
    Thanks kindly!

I can open your dxf in Qcad and in Sheetcam. It may need a little work depending on how you cut it, but if you show green cut paths in Sheetcam, you should see something in Mach.

Nothing shows up at all in Mach. Just the crosshairs.

Do you see green lines in Sheetcam representing the cut paths after adding an operation? Can you post some or all of the tap file here?

    Import your friend's dwg file.
Somewhere along the way your dxf got scrambled...

I managed to remedy the problem. I still don't know what happened but I exported the drawing as a bitmap in Inkscape, then converted back to a vector.
I created a tap file again and this time it showed up in Mach
I don't know why it works now but it does...go figger
    Thanks guys

I'm not sure I'd call it fun... more like frustration :tired:
