    Milling Flats

We have an SL25 Mori with live tools. I need to mill a flat on the O.D. of the plate pictured in the attachment below. We have done this long ago and no one seems to remember how. I did find this old prog. The dimensions are different but the idea is the same.

    T1107M8G28
    C90.
    G97M14S500X11.Z1.
    G98G1Z-1.5F3.0
    G112
    G42X9.795
    C-3.182
    C3.182
    G40
    G0Z1.

What I don't understand is how C is used in the G112 cycle? Any help would be apprieciated.

Well so far I've found out that MasterCAM 9 will out put the G112 code as opposed to many short x / c moves thereby generating the motion nessassary for milling a flat on the side of a shaft etc. But still am unclear on the actual "meaning" of the "c" words after the G112 code. They almost seem incremental??? Or do they relate to the Hypotenuse of the triangle???

U can choose to use g112 or not in c.axis with mcam... The C word in g112 are programed as a normal Y axis in a mill with the origin normaly in the center of chuck..

    Thanks,
I found the programing manual for the machine and "C" is in fact treated as the "Y" axis. I'm normally working with the machining centersso some of the lathe stuff is a little foriegn.
