    Machine Not Moving

I just fired up my cnc router after two years sitting dormant. I don't have the pc anymore that I was controlling with and Installed Turbo CNC on my 2000 machine. I cannot get it to jog. I wasn't quite sure what to put in step/dir high/low but messed with both and won't move. I calculated the scale and know the step/dir pins are right. I'm using Gecko 201's and a Axxus DB1. Any ideas as to what I'm missing? When I shut down TurboCNC I can hear the drive jump a tiny bit so I think they are communicating fine just missing a setting somehwere

    Thanks

You can't run TurboCNC from within Windows. The "Run" "CMD" produces a "DOS" box that is really a windows controlled environment. You have to really be booted to DOS with no windows running.

You can run it from Windows98, but it won't run smooth. It won't work at all in Windows 2000.

Ok, installed 98 on another partition and booted to dos, ran it again still won't jog. The parallel port is set to ECP should I change that to bidirectional? What else can I test. I don't see any other setting that I may have missed. Setting the step/dir high/low shouldn't matter right now should it? Thanks

Make sure it's set to the correct port address.
