Hi all,

I am finalizing my design for my cnc machine and will be using the cncrouterparts.com nema34 drive units for my longest axis.

Is it possible to remove the small pinion from the large pinion on this unit and replace it with another type such as one that works with a MOD1 rack?



This would save me a lot of money in materials and freight if it is possible.

I checked mine, and it looks like it's one piece. Might be easier to try to change the gearing on the other end to match what you want?

These units are made from multiple parts, but are not easy to disassemble, and have a custom gear with a keyway that keeps the pulley and gear rotating together. Brenton, feel free to contact us directly for some options. Personally I'd be surprised if making 3 custom Mod 1 gears is going to be less expensive than just shipping to the matching gear rack to you.
