What SolidCAM Milling Operation to pick

Hi, I'm working on a mold, and I'm having troubles getting SolidCAM to mill the sloping parts of my mold (Goes from 150um, down to 500um). I've managed to get the iMachining 3D operation to mill a abit of the slope, but it seems the program ignores the narrow bits of the slope, even though it has a width which matches the diameter of the tool (Ø=1mm). I've attached a rar containing the SLDPRT-file. Hope you can guide me to picking the right operation to produce the mold.

The CNC-machine I'm using is a Datron M7, so it does not have multiaxis machining, so the slope has to be done steps.

    Best Regards
    Heinz

Thank you very much for your reply Arikaa! I'm fairly new to SolidCAM, and I haven't really been using any other operations that Profile and pocket . What do I need to pay attention to when setting up HSM and HSS operations for the slopes?

    Best Regards

Hsm is for roughing. You can go very fast feed rate but keep step over small.

Arikaa just a correction ! Both HSM and HSS are finishing 3d tool paths . It's the HSR is the roughing version of HSM. HSM has a lot of finishing strategies inside it

You are right but most times hss finish turns out to finish much smoothly then hsm.
