Im importing an 80W Chinese machine into the US, and though its been cleared through customs, the FDA has a hold on it for radiation approval documents..anyone have this kind of issue before?

Yes... Contact the manufacturer and have them send you their FDA document that lists your model laser engraver. Then submit the document to your customs broker. That should take care of the problem

Yes, you would think so. I had the exact same problem. After you send them the document, everything should be OK
