There you will find the specifications for piercing that include the recommended pierce height and the recommended pierce delay times. If your Steel Tailor machines has the ability to automatically set the pierce height and cut height....ensure that it is doing so accurately. Damaged nozzles during the pierce are caused by:
1. Piercing too close to the material.
2. Piercing without adequate pierce delay time.
3. Piercing thicker than your plasma torch is designed for.
4. Using incorrect consumables or power levels for the material and thickness being cut.
