I have a heidenhain kt 130 probe which I want to use with my torus pro. I have been searching for hours to find a wiring diagram for the probe but can't find anything.

I am wondering how the probe is built up, what voltage it is supposed to run on. Anybody got any info on it?

Apparently they guard KT 130 info closely - even their web site makes only casual reference to it, at least so far as I could see. Good luck with the search.

So I got help from a kind forum member a few months ago. Thought I'd share what I found out in case someone would like to use a KT130 on their machine. I like it alot!

If the probe has the 15 pin connector cable colors are:
1 shield
2 Sense* Yellow
6 +5v Brown
8 Common white
4 output Green

The output is open collector and a 500ohm to 800ohm pull up is recomended. Put the resistor between +5v and collector output
The output is normally low and goes high when the probe is activated, hence it has a safety *sense line, which I did not use. It is open collector NPN output.
