    Ikegai FX25n spindle range shift

    Hi All;
    Does anyone know the M code to get the high-low clutch on a FX25 to change? I can get it to change using the manual controls but not in a program. A 1500 rpm speed will stay in high when given a 200 rpm command. The spindle will slow down to the commanded speed but, will stay in high range. I need a shift for the torque. I'm thinking an M code for the range shift? The control is a Fanuc 5T Thanks db

    I'm not sure about the Ikegai, but the EIA standard M-codes for gear changes are M40 through M45. If you put one of these M-codes into your program and the Ikegai doesn't use it, the control will just stop on that block with the cycle start light on. You should then be able to reset and try another M-code.

    Dan;

    I tried M40 to M45 no luck! The cycle start light comes on and stays on till I hit reset. Any other ones you can think of? Thanks db
