    importing .dxf

Hello all, im hoping someone can help me. Im new to Onecnc and am having a problem with importing a .dxf file from Autosketch into Onecnc. When i import the file some lines are obscure and out of scale i have tried R12 format and a few others. It gives me a warning that some parts of the file a not supported and tells me to save as R12 or explode before saving but it does not work. Please help!

I got it sorted out a little, now when i import a R12 file from either acad07 or autosketch the lines have been broken into thousands of little segments. Anyone have this problem?

In autocad, double click them to bring up the properties window. It will tell you the entity type at the top. Splines are converted to polylines with many segments when saved as v12 .dxf, which is why I asked.

Ok so if i import into autocad as splines, can i convert all the splines into polylines and then save into R12. Do you know an easy way of doing that?

Saving as v12 .dxf DOES convert them to polylines. There isn't really an easier way, but there's a better way. You can download a lisp program for autoCAD that will let you specify how many segments the splines are converted to.
