The tip of the day dialogue said I could have multiple views of the same part open simultaneously but when I try to open a second instance of the same part, nothing happens. Has anybody used this feature and know what I'm doing wrong?

Use the window menu. You choose new window for as many views as you need, then choose a tiling method to view them layed out. try horizontal.
Wow, I guess I never noticed that menu before. Thanks BurrMan.
Another thing,,,you can open multiple files,,and view all of them
Just click anywhere on the screen, and that file becomes active to do whatever you want.
Too bad you cant do a top, front, right& iso view to print. Its only one active at a time thou they are parametric to each other. Hmmm can somebody say V28.
Do a screen capture,,Snipping tool,,,
Well if you are on Windows (at least both my computers) go to the start menu/accessories/snipping tool
or
Google "screen capture free" and download a free app.
In post #4,I used snipping tool.
Then saved it as a .jpeg
then I uploaded it here
Great tips. I've had a lot of trouble with opening multiple files but actually it was working yesterday so I'll use that in the future. For multiple views to print you can also put a few copies of the part in the same workspace, rotated and translated as needed. Put them in a separate layer, of course.
