I have a Hyundai Hit-8s Cnc Lathe. It has an error " 101 ORD1 prewarning replace battery". I was told to replace the battery with the machine on. Where is the battery and how do I do this? Does the dor have a power off switch when you open the power supply door?

What control? If it has a door switch there is usually a key to bypass it. Do leave the power on until you replace the battery, so you don't loose your memory. If it is an Fanuc there are two types. A black box that has D cells, or a special lithium cell on the controller itself.

I have no Siemens controllers in house at this time. The maintenance books should have a procedure, worst case check U tube.
