Help needed upgrading CNC components while maintaining use of Mach3 Mill

I have an old CAMaster MC-2840 machine from 2009. It has worked great, but when I had some issue(s) a couple weeks ago, the team at CAMaster could not help because nobody knew the components of my machine. Thus, I'd like to upgrade it all with the latest and greatest to eliminate any probable downtime.

    Current MC-2840 specs:

    • Stepper motors are 23H276-28-4B (x- and y-axis) and 23H300H-05B (z-axis)

    • Running Mach3 on a Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3 PC. Intel Pentium 4, 2.66GHz and 1 Gb RAM.

I like Mach3, so I hope we can stick with it even after upgrading all the components.

How can I upgrade this machine? Any and all advice is recommended.

    Regards,
    Bryan

    How big is the machine?
    Those motors are pretty small.
The simplest solution would be to get a Gecko G540 or Leadshine MX4660.

    28" x 40". Only currently use it to cut .125" 6061-T6 aluminum.
