    Question about M29 Rigid Tapping

I have a quick question about the M29 Rigid Tapping feature. Im setting up a job that ive never ran before and it has a M29 in it were it taps a M3 x .5 hole. Is it possible to run it in the dry run first or will that screw up the threads? Ive never used the M29 before. This is on a tsugami bw12

Re: Question about M29 Rigid Tapping

You can run it in the "Dry Run" just comp Z+ whatever your max depth is plus some, or remove the tool after you have touched it off.
If you are talking about proving out the program that is.
Just do not cut any threads and you will be fine in the dry run.

    Good Luck~!
