    Help with drives

    Hello I have a cnc Mill that has a Siemens 810M Control. The control reciently failed. The drives are find but the main control has issues. does anyone have any information as to how I could verify that the drives that I have would work with Mach3?

    I'm guessing the mill is ~15 or more years old correct? What type of servos does it have (AC, DC Brushless, DC brush)? What type of feedback in is on the motors? What brand of servo amps? They probably take +/- 10 control signal if so than you can use a converter board that will take a step/dir signal from Mach and convert it to +/-10 volt for the drive.
