    Laser cutter beam length limitations

    Hey guys

What is the effective beam length of a laser? I.e. if you have a cut length of 2000mm in X and 1000mm in Y plus beam that isnt over the cutting area, say 200mm, then you may have a beam.of 3200mm+ from laser to material.

    What loss does one experience?

Depends upon laser. RF excited has better beam quality than DC. Much better.

Any power loss would be insignificant to cause any problems with engraving or cutting.
Bed leveling across all four corners would be a more significant area to concentrate on if there are any inconsistencies.
