    acramatic 2100 crashed

Help! I recently purchased a Benchman 5000 built by Light Corporation. The unit booted up and ran about a half hour before the hard drive crashed. Didn't get a chance to run the motors just looking though all the software windows. Does anyone have the Acramatic 2100 software or should I just convert the machine to Mach software. Jeff

We have a Cincinnati Falcon 300 lathe with Acramatic 2100 controls. Depending on what files are bad and how much of the drive is readable, I've had decent success recovering the drive and cloning it to a spare drive once operational. Otherwise I'd suggest sending the hard drive to Ontrack for recovery (www.ontrack.com).

Thanks for the info. I swapped hard drives the other day and the unit still didn't boot up, I'm beginning to wonder about motherboard or CPU. Anyway Ontrack is a good idea. Thanks, Jeff
