    Hello Doug,
Very early 6T controls were built with a Seven Segment LED display, and no screen, the same as the 5T control, and therefore, the two can be confused, but normally the labeling of the control is accurate. One definitive method of determining the model of the control (5T/6T) is to look at the required address format; the 5T control doesn't tolerate a period in any address format, whereas the 6T does. For example:

X100.0 for the 6T control must be written as X100000 for the 5T (metric example - three decimal places), where the trailing Zeros must be included.

You should be able to fairly easily modify a Post for any Fanuc control that uses FS15 format, (single line Multi Repetitive Cycles) by modifying the address Format to omit the period and include the trailing Zeros to the extent of the least programmable increment of the control; normally 0.001 for metric and 0.0001 for imperial configuration.

    Regards,

    Bill
