    Tool Life Management

    Are any of yous guys interested in tool life management ???

    I would be very interested. I quite honestly look for chips and watch/listen to the way it cuts. Seems as if there is a better way. I thought I came across somewhere in PP where there is some sort of way to do this? Maybe it was Fusion 360 which wouldn't work as I don't always machine using Fusion created files. What are you speaking of?

    A simple TM scheme just keeps track of time on each tool and when it gets to the time limit it warns you that the tool is at its time limit. It also gets more complicated from there. Advanced TM will change out a worn tool to another of the same tool in the Tool changer.

    Advanced also lets you assign what parameter you use for teh limit such as time,cutting inches, holes drilled, etc.

    Just a simple time based TM would be nice for PathPilot. You would have to expand the Tool table to make it work.
