I haven't yet found a way to turn Rough and Finish cutter comp ON permanently. For some reason, FC keeps turning it off. I have Enable Cutter Comp ON in Post Options (that stays on), and also it is selected in Machining Attributes, but FC constantly turns it off in Machining Attributes. I use ESPRIT, Gibbscam, and Surfcam and have never encountered this idiotic scenario with those CAM systems. I always use cutter comp for all operations other than 3d surfacing. Can anyone explain what I need to do to turn cutter comp on and leave on in FC for all milling operations?

There are several ways to adjust these settings in FeatureCAM. As you probably know, you can turn on cutter comp at the feature level controlling a single feature at a time. You can then turn on cutter comp at a file level, which is what you are showing in the pictures you posted, or you can turn on cutter comp at the base level, making it a default setting to have cutter comp on. It sounds like the last option I mention is what you are trying to do. For this you want to go to the "Machining Configuration" page. From within here you will modify whatever configuration is used for new documents (by default this is usually "My Configuration" but could vary depending on settings you have made).

Sometimes FeatureCAM is "Dumb"
Try changing your settings then click save settings now; close the program then open, and see if the settings took..see attached.
I have had to do this countless time to make FC "remember" its settings.
