    Looking for rigid desktop router

Hello everyone. I have a couple of years of practice working with BZT machine and now looking for something my own. What I recall now, main problem with BZT was it's price and leading choices on options: we did not get a good spindle, no servos, no enclosure, nu vacuum, no dust extraction, no tool changer, no LAN interface (USB was very buggy), etc. So we spent a log of time and resources on making a table and enclosure, bought chinese spindle, bought air compressor, mist device, etc. And in the end it resonated badly (probably chinese spindle is at fault) when working on metals.

So anyway, I am looking for machine, that:
    • Workable area of approx 40x80x10 cm
    • Rigid enough for non-ferrous metals
    • Spindle at least 1.5kW
    • Manual tool changer and automatic lenght compensation
    • dust extraction
    • mist blower for metals
    • vacuum table
    • spare programmable IOs
    • full enclosure for dust and sound shielding
    • Maybe Mach3 or other widely known control application?
    • Ready to use solution out of the box.

    Sooo... What are my options?
Isel ICV3040 looks like an interesting option, but quite expensive, over €10k with manual tool changer and servos. Also german support seems very unresponsive.
Denford Router 2600 also looks interesting, have not contacted yet.

Anyone have practice with these or could recommend something else?

Re: Looking for rigid desktop router

look for a router with 20 mm square rails, pending on size of the router a 10 mm lead ballscrew sufficiently fast..
look for spindles with two bearing on their front.. (or 4 bearing overall)

pictures showing if it has dust shoe..

when router resonate, it not only the spindle issue.. round supported rails also will resonate, and of course a too light gantry also makes really loud noise..

    Hello,

Sorry for not thanking right after the reply.
Anyway I had to put it on hold and now back on spending some money.
Now, I know this is not a top quality product, but what do you think about this one?

X rail seems to be supported well, etc. Is it worth the money? Mechanics alone go for ~ 600GBP.
