Just had a board go bad in my 2012 VF-2 which required completely reinstall of the operating system. Unfortunately the new software now requires at least one door open to manually change tools. Before I had one of the door locks removed and just required a quick removal of the key to power up. Is there a workaround to keep from pulling the key every time I manually change the tool. No wonder the good book says woe unto Lawyers.

a momentary button to trick the control is what I have had to do on a mori ,,,, run down the wires to the lock and see what its looking for

Open the other door, the one withthe lock. You did say the new software needs one door to be open to change tools. Whats confusing me, is how you could manually change tools without at least one door open

Someone with the door safety switch bypassed could do it with the door closed.

IDIOD, the short answer to your question is no. It is a safety feature built into the software.

I understand the Liability behind the safety switch. Common sense would also tell me the mill would be a lot safer with the electric unhooked. It just isn't as productive. Just my uneducated .02...
