    Motion controllers

    Hi guys,

I am starting to look into dragging my old Mach 3 setup into the 21st century. Specifically I am worried about obsolete PC and parallel port constraint.
I know about PCI parallel port cards, that is also not completely foolproof. Finally I understand the quality of motion is just better with a motion controller.
    So the question is:
Has anyone locally used a motion controller with Mach 3, if so which one and any experiences to share.
    I am currently trying to make up my mind between Smoothstepper ( $159), UC300 ($115) and Dynomotion k-flop ($249), and leaning towards UC300 ($$for $ obvious$$ reasons$$$)

    Re: Motion controllers

    Hey,

I have a Smootstepper and UC100 (smaller version of UC300) and both work great.
