If you are still wondering about your choices...give me a call I am a Enroute distributor, lets talk and see what kind of application you a going to use a piece of CAD/CAM software for to run your Multicam.

I sold my Precix router last year and I still have my EnRoute 4 Pro Software. I am thinking about going with Aspire 8.0 for my next cnc router. If I go with Aspire 8.0, them my I will sell my EnRoute 4.0 Pro.
What is a copy of EnRoute 4.0 Pro with the USB Dongle worth these days?

I do not think you can "etch" with Enroute, at least you cannot create "hatching" fields to be printed/marked.
TYPE EDIT V12 was mentioned by the OP but you can also look at LASERTYPE V12 which is the more dedicated laser solution.

I have Enroute 4 Pro. Enroute 5 Pro is $6495 new. I am thinking $3000 for my Enroute 4 Pro. If you upgrade to Enroute 5 Pro it would cost $995 for the total investment of $3995. That is a savings of $2500.
