    Angle Iron Vs. Angle Aluminum for V Bearings

    For V bearings, I would have assumed that angle iron would be better but in all the build videos and pictures I see, everyone seems to be using aluminum.

    Can someone please explain the reason?

    I've seen smooth aluminium angle, but I am not sure I have EVER seen sufficiently smooth steel angle.
