    Haas TM-1

Spindle Encorder seems to be having problems. Belt going to the encorder destroyed so I replaced that and redid the 257 setting to the right number to do tool changes right. But soon as I turned on the spindle and tried it was way off. Any idea where to go from here?

    Thanks,

Does the orientation keep changing every time you press the orient button? Inspect both pulleys for the belt, most are aluminum and the drive teeth will become distorted over time.

No it does not change when you hit the button. But when you run the spindle at rpm it changes. I ordered a new encoder and pulley.
