    Unhappy gecko 320x drive

Just got a new dive to replace my g320 .....hook up just the same way as the original but
it is faulting all drives after I reset them.....I am a woodworker and not an electrical engineer.
When my z axis did not respond I check several things. I then switch that drive with one
that was working and the z worked and the other did not..Therefore I ordered a new one
and as soon as I hooked it up in the same way as the other it is in fault mode....As soon
as I reset all drives they immediately fault......
    need some troubleshooting suggestions.......HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you ever figure out the issue? I'm having the same kind of problem.

Are all of thr drive G320X's or just G320? The fault/reset pin may be different. Some designs tie all of them together. If its wired with wire you can try pulling the wire to the fault/reset pinon the new drive (it may not come out of fault) and see if the other drives power up. I would contact Gecko , they have a good support group.

It turned out both the drive and the encoder was bad.
Got a digital encoder and can't recall the name but can
find out and send it to you. All is well now....good luck

My drivers are 320x. Mine won't reset even using the reset jumper wire. I called gecko, all their technical staff out of the office till end of the week. Been searching the forums for similar problems. Thanks for the reply!

How did you determine that the drive was bad?
