    New to CNC

    Hi
    Im very new at CNC
I bought a CNC from china Multitech 1313 (wood and soft metals)
i was pretty sure when i order it the controller was to hook up to my PC (wanted to use mach 3) but came with a DSP control which i dont like very much
I've had a programmer come over to help, which he did but cant seem to find the right code for this to work right tried gcode a piece 24"x24" came out the size of a coin
tried a bunch of others did not read finally tried gcode arcs finally came out the right size but didnt controll the spindle speed
emailed china not getting much help from them go fiqure
how hard would it be to change the controller to Mach3 and where is a good place to buy the controller
    Im in the edmonton area
    Don

most of these machines comes with conventional step and direction drives so only the DSP control has to be removed and the drives and sensors connected to the LPT port or motion controller and configured in mach3.
For this ofcourse you need to have some knowledge of electric wiring and a wiring diagram of the machine control box can be really handy for the conversion process.

    A coincidence?
Just a thought: if it came out 24 mm x 24 mm, then maybe the machine is set to the wrong units for your g-code?

    Cheers
