    G540 suddenly wont power on

Everything was fine they day before and suddenly my G540 wont power on. No lights or anything and I checked the internal fuse for continuity and it was fine. I swapped it for another G540 and it worked. what could be wrong? It is just out of warranty and I would rather save $40 bucks for service if i can.

Re: G540 suddenly wont power on

    LazyMan,

That is strange; typically if the LEDs do not turn on then the fuse has blown. Are both G540s of the same revision? If so, can you swap motherboards and see if the problems continue on the same G540 or if it follows that motherboard?

Please feel free to send the G540 in for free servicing. Just reference this discussion on the return email or form so we can track the problem down. I will notify the office to be on the lookout for a return form regarding your G540.
