    Screen file not found

    I ran the setup file for version 1.2048. Everything loaded fine. Put the license file in the UCCNC folder. When I run the software I get a popup that
    says screen file not found. I click ok and the software doe not load. I checked the screens folder and default screenset is there. The software setup
    file was downloaded from cnc4pc site. Any help would be appreciated. Don't know where to go from here.

    Thanks
    Jim

    Did you create a new profile? Or are you using the default profile?

    Without editing the profile file, or using a different screen, I don't know how you could ever get this error?

    Open the Profile (.pro file) and see what screenset it's looking for.

    [Screensetsettings]
    mainscreenfilename=Defaultscreenset
    splashscreen=0
    [axessettingscontrolX]
    ......
    ......

    What motion controller and breakout board are you using?

    Re: Screen file not found

    Gerry,
    I looked in the profile folder and it says default .pro. In the screens folder it says defaultscreenset.ssf.
    How would I create a new profile if the software will not even start up. I am using the UC400ETH and a xylotex straight through BOB.
    Now I have since downloaded a fresh copy of the setup file uninstalled the one on the computer and reinstalled and now the software loads.
    Now I can't do anything else on my computer. it is very slow. May be time to upgrade.
    Thanks

    Its an Intel Celeron 3.2 GHz and .99 GB ram. Looks like I may need more memory. Running Windows XP SP3.

    Check Task Manager and see what the memory usage is.

    Does the PC have a separate video card? Graphics may be causing the issue.

    Checked the task manager. looks like when uccnc is full screen cpu usage is 100%. When its minimized usage goes down to 25-40. Also when minimized other
    things seem to run normally, getting start menu to come up etc. The video is on the motherboard. Thanks

    Re: Screen file not found

    If your PC is ±10 years old, a new one might be in order. A standalone video card might help, but I don't know for sure.

    On my Windows 10 laptop,CPU usage is 5% with UCCNC running.

    Ok. Thanks. I have a couple of laptops I can use. Might be best if I use something newer.
    Thanks for your help. I did buy and plan on using your 2017 screenset.
