Hello. New to forum. Have an explorer 1 that the hard drive went out on and got a replacement and think I managed to save most the files to move over but lost the registries. Does anyone have or know where I can get a list of the files that are necessary to run. Or if I start from scratch, where I can find the proper software on line. I did see an older posting that indicated that v2xt boot disks were on a yhaoo group (in 2004) but am not even sure that is the software I need. I do know my machine uses the BMDC and had dos 6.2. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Also love to just connect with others who have an Explorer 1. I've had the machine for several years with no problems til now, but am sure interaction with others would be most helpful.

You can get the software from EMI. If you have purchased a hard drive, you will have to FDISK it to 504MB, format, load DOS, and then the machine software. You may want to consider a Disk on a Module.
