    What tools

What cutting tools are you mostly using.
In norway is Sandvik and Seco some of the biggest.
I have run very good results width Sandvik R210 plungemill.
I did a job 15-20 minutes shorter than i did width Seco and Iscar.
Do you have a favorite tool?
Si plunge milling popular in your workshop?

For serious metal removal, I like the Sandvik R-390 insert. Its amazing what this new generation of inserts can do. This tooling is not center cutting, no plunge milling allowed.

Plunge milling is as good as the design of your spindle. I don't have an opinion for or against the process, just be aware of the machine tool.
I have had success with all brands of tooling. It comes down to the deal a sales person can give you. I say play the sales person for the best deal.
