I have an Excel VMC 510 with a Fanuc OM controller. It has the tape switch on the panel and I can load and run programs with no problem as long as they are under 16K. I want to drip feed to this controller but cannot seem to get it to work. I can access the ladder program and I can see the G127.5 coil but the contacts show that the relay is open. When I switch to Tape mode, the lines connecting to it highlight but the coil remains open. The fifth bit in diagnostic parameter 127 does change to a one when the switch is activated but I still cannot dripfeed. There is no dnc option under MDI or Auto selections. Do I have to close the relay at G127.5 and if so how is it done?

If you have the G127.5 set to a one, IIRC all you need is to switch to Auto, I believe then enter the program # & press cycle start and it should read it in.
It looks like you have the G127.5 enabled OK, this is the PMC telling the CNC you are in DNC mode.

Hay alguna forma de poner un interruptor físico "swicht" para pasar de auto a dnc, sin necesidad de estar entrando en el diagnóstico?
