We are in the process of buying a new CNC Router. We are currently looking at either an AXYZ 4004 or ShopSabre 4860. Was looking for some user input in the ShopSabre from anyone who is using it to cut Aluminum and other Non-Ferrous Metals? We mostly cut .125" now and need another machine.

I have a shopsabre that i use for woodwork. I have a friend in our town that has both an old shopsabre and a new axyz. I help him when he as trouble with programming and such. The shopsabre makes money and the axyz has been nothing but trouble. His was built for foam cutting with a knife, but the operating system and on board computer is a total pain. With the Wincnc software you can design, fix, adjust, and make the machine do what you want. With the axyz all you get is a hand held interface and you are at it's mercy.Call tech support and they might call you back that day, or maybe the next.
