UCCNC won't install. Any one have this problem?

I've sent an email to the vendor, but am posting here to see if anyone else has had this problem.

Absolutely clean Windows 10 x64 install. Only other software installed is Rhino 5, the MadCam 5 plugin, and the Google Drive Client.
    Downloaded "setup_1.1026.exe" from cncdrive.com.
Launch installer and get Windows "Do you want program from unknown publisher to make changes..."
    Click "yes"
    Installer just quits

I've downloaded several times, I've rebooted. It don't get any screens or errors. It just quits the installer after I click "yes" to the Windows Account screen thing.

Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone think of a solution? Obviously I'm peeved because I already paid for a license from cnc4pc.

I downloaded it a few days ago and installed fine on 8.1 x64.
Sorry, don't have an answer for you.

    Rlrhett,

Did you try installing the software as administrator?

Unfortunately, yes i did try that and nothing happened. I also tried running it in Windows 8 compatibility mode. No difference. I get the windows permissions dialog box, tell it to allow changes and the installer quits before even throwing up a splash screen.

Well I actually got a very prompt answer from the manufacturer. Good on you! In any case, it turns out that UCCNC is built on .NET 2.0. For non computer types, that's a pretty old stuff. Most software has migrated up. So old, in fact, that Windows 10 no longer supports it right out of the box. You have to go into the control panel and turn on support for .NET 3.5 (which includes support for 2.0).

Once I did that, the software install worked as it should. Of course, once I had UCCNC running I powered up my little home made cnc and the Z axis started going crazy! Had to power it off to stop it. Guess I am going to have to read the manual and figure out how to port from Mach 3!

Hello guys! I have also bought UCCNC and run it on windows 7 x64 system. It installs normally until I start the application by double clicking the desktop link. It just crashed right there. I can't even open the GUI. I once thought that I had the same problem as yours. But the support guy told me that because I have removed my flashplayer. Once I installed the flashplayer, it can start now! This software requires flashplayer to run! I guess they know flash will be obsolete someday. I was informed that a new version based on OpenGL is under testing. I just want to share my experiences with those who are going to use this software.

The new OpenGL version is supposed to run much better than the Flash versions.
